Location: Turner Road, Bandra – Mumbai’s premier jewelry high street
After the COVID lockdown, the next-generation owner Mr. Suuraj Popley of a legacy jewelry brand approached us to reimagine their flagship showroom in Bandra. Their vision was clear: create a more global, open, and engaging retail experience—one that appeals to their well-travelled loyal clientele while also inviting a younger audience into the brand’s world.
The challenge lay in balancing generational expectations: How do you design a space that feels both timeless and contemporary, luxurious yet approachable?
The existing store featured traditional long linear counters, enclosed zones, dated lighting, and an overall transactional layout. To shift away from this conventional retail experience, we restructured the spatial flow entirely.
We broke the long display lines into smaller, independent islands, creating multiple intimate seating zones along both side walls. These six curated display clusters each highlight a different jewelry category, allowing customers to browse with ease, privacy, and comfort.
At the heart of the space, we introduced a large circular display—an inviting focal point aligned with the store’s central axis. This area showcases the brand’s diamond jewelry collection and is designed to resonate with younger shoppers, encouraging a free-flowing, interactive browsing experience.
Above this centerpiece, a bespoke circular crystal chandelier anchors the space with elegance and a quiet sense of drama.
